How can I have a personal relationship with God and live forever with him?

Believe that:

• I have broken God's laws (Rom. 3:23)
• I deserve God's judgment for breaking his laws (Rom 1:18-19)
• God loves me and wants a relationship with me through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16)
• Jesus obeyed God perfectly in every way (1 Pet 2:22)
• Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin (1 Pet 2:24)
• Jesus rose from the dead as proof that the payment was accepted by God (Rom 4:25)
• I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Jesus' payment on my behalf (Acts 3:19)
• I trust not in my own goodness but in the work of Christ as a payment for my sin (Rom 3:25, 28)
